DCHS - Rescue
Forever change the life of one of our pets by rescuing them today! DCHS-Rescue is a 501(c)(3) located in Hartsville, SC. Our intake of pets far exceeds our local adoptions, so we rely heavily on rescues like you to pull our pets and save lives. We take in pets every day, so this page is constantly being updated. We encourage you to explore our site and find the perfect pet for your rescue. Highlighting Pork Chop - URGENT
BIG DOG LOVERS…this handsome brindle boy is Pork Chop. He’s a big boy too, lol, all 89 lbs of terrier blend, 1 year 3 months old and heart worm negative. He is dog, kid and people friendly, with gorgeous eyes and markings. Pork Chop was wonderful during an event. He enjoyed meeting lots of folks and did so well with the kids he met. He gently took treats offered and happily accepted attention calmly, all the while wagging his tail. During play groups he has met several dogs and plays so nicely with all.
Highlighting Bug
Bug is an energetic, sweet, boy who came in 3 months ago. He loves to get rubs and uppies. He is available for adoption or rescue and ready to be in a home. He was in foster care with other cats and a dog for a while.

Help support our Bridge Boarding facility by giving today! Pets who have rescue and/or require special medical care call Bridge home until it's time for them to launch into their new pet careers. Bridge Boarding frees up kennel space at the shelter and literally saves lives.
